It Lets You Know That You Are Alive

My thought today....

Know how sublime a thing it is to suffer and be strong.

A Cherokee elder was teaching
his grandchildren about life.
He said to them, “A fight is going on inside me…
it is a terrible fight between two wolves.
One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret,
greed, arrogance, hatefulness, and lies.
The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, humbleness,
kindness, friendship, generosity, faith, and truth.
This same fight is going on inside of you,
and inside every other person, too.”
The children thought about it for a minute.
Then one child asked his grandfather,
“Which wolf will win?”
The Cherokee elder replied…
“The one you feed.”
How much time do we all spend "chasing our tails" trying to separate all the tremendously powerful feelings that we have.  What is right, what is wrong, what takes us to the highest levels of joy & happiness & to the lowest levels of pain & despair.  I must think to my post "Just Be" & echo the words there...why can't we all just still, be quiet, be kind, be ourselves.
We are who we are & that is all we can be.

Of course we all need minor renovations from time to time...
but never to be levelled & rebuilt from the ground up!
