500g package of noodles...I use fat udon!
1 bunch broccoli
1 large carrot
1 yellow pepper julienned
1 package of veggie protein - I hate calling it "beef" See here!
1tbsp corn starch
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1 tbsp dark sesame oil
1 1/2 tsp hot chili garlic sauce
4 garlic cloves
1/4 cup of water
Cut broccoli florets into small pieces. Using a vegetable peeler, peel long, wide strips from carrot. Prepare the yellow pepper & get your protein ready. In a bowl, stir cornstarch with 2 tbsp of teriyaki sauce until dissolved. Stir in remaining 1/3 cup of teriyaki & sesame oil, chili garlic sauce & garlic.
Add a "normal" amount of oil to a large frying pan on medium-high heat. Add the protein to the pan, stir, then add the teriyaki mixture. Add broccoli, carrot & pepper & add water. Stir often until veggies are cooked to your own personal taste.
Oh yeah, you should have had some noodles cooking at the same time!!
For your first go at this recipe, don't worry, the veggies can sit for the
few minutes it takes to cook the noodles!
Once the noodles are done, drain them well,
then put them in a nice large bowl.
Then add the veggie/sauce mixture to that big bowl & mix it well.
Personally I like to do a little dance in the
kitchen tossing noodles up in the air!
